Golf Tournament
IACSC will host its second golf tournament in 2004 on Friday, November 5, at the Kierland Golf Club. The shotgun tournament will begin at 1:00 pm, using a scramble format. Staff will award the first, second and third low gross teams, as well as the golfers who hit closest-to-the-pin and the longest drive. The 27-hole course is set apart from any other desert golf experience. Emerald green fairways are etched into golden-colored desert grasses, sweeping over constantly changing elevations to flawless tif-eagle grass greens. More than three hundred bunkers guard the way, along with lakes, dry desert washes and strands of desert trees. (Cost:  $155 per person)

Tennis Tournament
Back by popular demand, we will hold an informal tennis tournament at the resort’s courts on Saturday afternoon from 1:00-4:00. If you are interested, all you need to do is sign up on our online registration form. There is no charge to participate. Please don’t forget to pack your racquet! (Cost:  Free)

Horseback Riding
As an optional activity, IACSC will offer this pleasant alternative to vehicle sightseeing on Saturday afternoon. Trail horses and experienced wranglers will take you into the desert foothills for a closer look at native flora and fauna. Rides may include crossing the shallow Verde River. Along the trail, your guide will point out the unique vegetation and wildlife peculiar to the Sonoran Desert, Arizona’s most famous desert. Round trip transportation from the hotel to the riding stables will be provided. Suggested attire includes casual, comfortable clothing, long pants, closed toed shoes or sneakers. (Cost:  $75 per person)

Wine and Chocolate Tasting
Spouses and guests are invited Friday morning, November 5, to enjoy a wine and chocolate tasting with a light snack. This interactive wine tasting is about discovery. There are no right answers and no rules—just a universe to be explored and enjoyed! Spouses and guests will take pleasure in a relaxing morning of sparkling and holiday wine tasting while enjoying a variety of fruits chosen to complement the wine selection. Chocolate samples from European chocolatier Bernard Callebaut will also be offered. Each guest will receive a certificate to purchase chocolates at their store, which is located in Kierland Commons—just a quick walk across the street from the hotel. (Cost:  Included in spouse fee)

Gala Dinner Dance: Get Your Kicks on Route 66
Route 66 has been acknowledged as one of the first modern east-west arteries. This important route not only linked people geographically…it generated commerce between Chicago and Los Angeles and along the route as well. As an icon, it represents people getting together and having fun. So…hey! Let’s go! Come casual and join us at “Ed’s Diner” for good old fashioned road food. The group Karizma, a true “party band,” guarantees an evening of fun and dancing.  (Cost:  Included)

IACSC Expo
The Expo will offer members and non-members the opportunity to display their products and services prior to and during the general sessions on Friday and Saturday. The $150 booth fee will include table, pipe and drape, and a sign with your company’s name. Click here to register. The expo company, GES Exposition, will provide an exhibitor kit and mailing labels to participants once they have registered. (Cost:  $150)
